GEORGE 2026...

We’ve made the decision to pause George for 2026.

Over the past few years, George has grown into something incredibly special, and with that growth comes a chance to think bigger about what this festival can become.

Rather than repeating the same format, we’re taking the time to re-imagine the experience from the ground up. Bigger ideas. Better spaces. More comfort. More connection. More moments for families, friends, music lovers, and the whole community to genuinely settle in and enjoy the weekend together.

We want George to feel less like surviving a schedule and more like stepping into a world.

That means investing in innovation, atmosphere, amenities, entertainment, and creating a festival environment that feels welcoming from the first afternoon right through to the final encore.

And yes… we’re pretty excited about shifting away from Tasmania’s famously chaotic October energy and leaning into longer sunshine, warmer evenings, and proper summer festival vibes.

This isn’t goodbye.
It’s the reset before the next chapter.

Thank you to everyone who’s helped shape George so far. We can’t wait to show you what’s next.

The team behind George are buzzing to be backing a small but mighty run of concerts in 2026, teaming up with the one and only Nigel Hope. This five-concert series is all about world-class music, close-up vibes, and serious talent and it all kicks off in just a fortnight with The Hope Trio’s album launch. Lock it in, this one’s going to sing.

🌿 Thank You, George Family! 🌿

What. A. Day.
We packed the paddock to capacity and the vibe was absolutely incredible — smiles, dancing, laughter and good times from start to finish.

A massive thank you to our amazing volunteers who kept everything running smoothly, our bands and performers who brought the soundtrack to the day, our stallholders who filled the site with flavour and colour, and of course you — the crowd — for bringing the energy, kindness and joy that make George what it is.

You turned a paddock into a party, and we couldn’t be prouder of this little community we’ve built together. 💛 The mega conga line was out of this world. Hundreds of people sharing a very special moment.
