In 2018, I am joining Team beyondblue to support the work they do to support those struggling with poor mental health, depression and anxiety and those who self-harm or attempt su***de to cope with mental health.
Between March and November 2018 I am registered in 16 running events totalling 250km (a mix of half marathons topped up by a few 10km events). Some very local here in Brisbane, Sunny and Gold Coasts and some further afield in Melbourne, Perth and across the ditch in Christchurch, New Zealand as well as 2 back in the UK- thankfully in UK summer 🙂
The challenge begins on the 18th of March in New Zealand- you can donate at anytime between now and November 30th (end of the 250km) but the sooner you can put your hand in your pocket the sooner beyondblue can use your donation.
To my workmates, friends and family who I know will step up and donate, we have all been affected by mental health, depression, self-harm and su***de whether it be a friend, work colleague, family member or member of the public. Please donate what you can to help me support beyondblue in 2018 and beyond.
Latest figures show 20% of Australian's are affected by a mental health condition each year, 2,400 of this number commit su***de each year due to poor mental health, depression, alcohol or substance abuse (unfortunately the list of causes goes on)
