Singleton parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am in Singleton, NSW, Australia. Singleton parkrun is FREE and open to people of all standards and ages, both as volunteers and as runners / walkers. We encourage people of every ability to take part, from those taking their first steps in running to Olymp

ians, from juniors 5 years or older to those with decades of experience. All runners receive encouragement and enjoy being part of a community event open to all standards. Equally, our volunteer teams come from a huge variety of backgrounds and we urge everybody to get involved in organising their local events at least 3 times per year.

A huge thank you to Mt Arthur Coal, who provided free coffee and treats to promote a healthy lifestyle, exercise and to simply enjoy the outdoors. Team members joined in the volunteer duties. It was a wonderful day with great vibes, which is what parkrun is all about.

This week 144 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 17 were first timers and 14 recorded new personal bests.

Two milestones were celebrated:
- Barry Clifton hit 100 parkruns
- Carol Burgmann reached 350 runs

The event was made possible by 11 volunteers:

Tomorrow’s parkrun is shaping up to be a good day. The rain has passed and the sun should be shining.

Thanks to BHP’s Mt Arthur Coal, there will be free post-parkrun coffee by The Grove Hunter Valley. Come and grab your cuppa! ☕️

Junior Rugby League will be on so we ask that you please take care when running near the footy fields and be respectful of others.

Who doesn’t love a run/walk in the rain?

Saturday’s parkrun will be brought to you by BHP’s Mt Arthur Coal.

Come along for a (maybe) wet day and free coffee afterwards. Mt Arthur team members will be volunteering.

Should the course be too soggy, we will use the alternate Course B, which is two laps, out and back, on the path.

Wet or dry, come and join us for a great day. Every parkrun day is a good one; rain or shine. Let’ssss gooooo !!

A couple of volunteer roles need filling this weekend.
