We’re excited to announce that Tegan Higginbotham will return as emcee for the 2026 Ladies Who Lunch, Shepparton’s highlight social event of the year! ✨

Tegan is an award-winning comedian, actor and one of Australia’s most versatile screenwriters, with a career spanning film, television, radio and live performance. You might recognise her from roles in Oddball and Holding The Man, or from TV favourites like Nowhere Boys and This is Littleton.

In 2026, Tegan is set to appear in the new Stan Original Series Gnomes, while continuing her writing, with projects like Jones Family Christmas and several new works in development.

A familiar face on panel shows including Have You Been Paying Attention? and Spicks and Specks, Tegan brings sharp wit, warmth and quick thinking to every stage she steps onto.

And thankfully for us, she’ll once again bring her trademark energy, and the rare talent of wrangling 600+ guests through a jam-packed day of raffles, entertainment and fun, all (mostly) on schedule.

Once again, we are calling on local businesses and organisations to partner with us as a sponsor or supporter to help ensure women in our region can access quality cancer care, close to home.

Ladies Who Lunch is proudly presented with the support of the GV Health Foundation, and raises vital funds for women’s oncology services at Goulburn Valley Health. Every dollar raised helps strengthen regional health care for women and girls across the Goulburn Valley.

A true icon of Australian comedy, Denise has brought her unmistakable warmth and razor-sharp timing to beloved shows like Mother and Son, Please Like Me, Winners and Losers and House Husbands. On stage, she’s a powerhouse, taking home major honours including a Helpmann Award and multiple Melbourne Comedy Festival awards.

After navigating her own cancer experience in recent years, Denise returns to the stage with trademark honesty, resilience and wit, bringing a perspective that makes her a particularly meaningful fit for our event supporting women facing cancer.

Denise is set to bring heart, humour and a few well-earned laughs to what’s shaping up to be another unforgettable Ladies Who Lunch.

Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month 💜

Ovarian cancer is often hard to detect, with symptoms that can be easy to overlook.

Nine years on from her diagnosis, Delma Hale is sharing her story, which began unexpectedly after a routine bowel screening test picked up an abnormality, despite her feeling completely well.

The Ladies Who Lunch committee is thrilled to share the magic number, the reason we come together each year and a reflection of the collective impact of community. And the number is…

✨ $175,000 raised in support of women’s oncology services at Goulburn Valley Health! ✨

We couldn’t be more proud or more grateful. This incredible result speaks to the generosity and commitment of everyone involved.

Our thank-you list is long, and the committee is in the process of connecting with our sponsors and supporters. However, a big thank you must go to the volunteer LWL committee, who give their time, bring the energy, and occasionally sacrifice their sanity to make it all happen.

Earlier this week the LWL committee met at GV Health along with the committee from the Biggest Ever Blokes Lunch, who raised a phenomenal $300,000 at their event this year. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, and we congratulate the committee on this outstanding outcome.

Together, nearly half a million dollars has been raised for local cancer care, an extraordinary effort. What a fabulous community we live in!

Cheers to our volunteers and the incredible hospitality crew behind the scenes! 🥂

The Ladies Who Lunch team has been taking a well-earned breather after the glorious chaos that was last Sunday. Before we officially wrap up this year’s fundraiser, we want to shine a light on the legends who took on the epic task of keeping all 668 guests fed, watered, and smiling throughout the day.

To the amazing hospitality staff to our wonderful volunteers, thank you for helping to make the day fun and special. You are all a fantastic reflection of our incredible community.

We’re grateful for your hard work, heart, and hospitality. 💛 We’ll let you recover before checking in to see if you’re brave enough to do it all again next year.
