Garage Girls is coming to The Shearing Shed on Saturday 2nd August and The American River Community Hall American River Community American River Community Home on Sunday 3rd August 2025.

The actors are travelling all the way from Victoria to bring you the iconic story of the first Australian female mechanic. With humour and feeling this is a show not to miss. Bring your classic car along and enjoy the ride!

CANCELLED - Blues on the Rock

Unfortunately we’ve had to pull the pin on our first music festival for the year, BLUES ON THE ROCK this Saturday 18th Jan.

With less than a week to go we’ve only pre-sold 40 tickets, we need to sell 65 just to pay the musicians (and those rates were negotiated and super reasonable), let alone pay staff, sound technician, and the many other costs associated with putting on this event. There were 5 different bands invited to play which added to 13 musicians performing for islanders. We’d invited food vans and local drinks were organised.

We are really sorry to the 40 people who committed and bought tickets in advance - a big thankyou to you. We will send you a refund.

Sorry we had to cancel this great community event.
