Mosman parkrun

Mosman parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 7am at Spit West Reserve, Mosman. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

Mosman parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 7am in Mosman, NSW, Australia. Mosman parkrun is FREE and open to people of all standards and ages, both as volunteers and as runners / walkers. We encourage people of every ability to take part, from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians, from juniors 5 years or older

to those with decades of experience. All runners receive encouragement and enjoy being part of a community event open to all standards. Equally, our volunteer teams come from a huge variety of backgrounds and we urge everybody to get involved in organising their local events at least 3 times per year.

The bright moon set before the sunrise ... and 102 parkwalkers and parkrunners gathered at the Spit.
3 were first time parkrunners and 12 were on their first time at Mosman.
The cool (some say cold) conditions led to 14 PBs !

Our poem today was from "thefitty"

"I’m in love
With my running shoes
With the world, with the wind
With the ground under my feet.

Each step is a kiss

And it feels so good."

Thanks to the 11 official volunteers and all of the other people who helped, 90 runners and walkers started on damp grass to greet Robyn three times at the top of the hill!
Welcome to the 3 parkrun newbies and 13 other first timers.

14 PBs were set, including one very happy little lady!

We hope to see lots of smiling faces next week !!

It may have been a little bit fresher in Sydney this morning than of late but that provided some great conditions for a parkrun. Well done to all 109 participants who ran, jogged and walked today and a massive thank you to the 12 volunteers that made the event possible.

Shout outs today:
