Our Club/group/competitors thank Jamie and his family for their support for many years.

Running a big family farm, supported many groups and a hard working councillor, the area is so lucky. Always a great man to have a yarn with.

The most meaningful recognition we give at the South West Careers Expo is the Green Fridge Award.
The Green Fridge sat in Neil Porter’s D-Wing office during his teaching career. It was a place where people gathered, problems were solved, and ideas turned into action.

This year, we’re proud to award it to Jamie Vogels. Jamie first connected with NPL at a Workforce Shortage Forum in 2022. After hearing about what we do, he stayed behind, spoke with our team, and said:
“I like what you do. I’m going in to bat for you.”
And that’s exactly what he’s done ever since.

As a Corangamite Shire Councillor and farmer, Jamie has consistently supported NPL by advocating for our work, connecting us with new supporters, and backing us in ways that move things forward.
He embodies the spirit of the Green Fridge. Getting things done. Creating opportunities. Supporting young people without expectation of reward.
As Jamie says, “Seeing positive outcomes is the real reward.”
We couldn’t agree more.

Jamie, thank you for standing beside us and championing what we do. This recognition is incredibly well deserved.

There are no other EA Eventing competitions in Victoria until Friends of Ballarat Eventing Association - which looks like fully booked!!

It you are entering an Off The Track horse please make sure you have registered them first with Racing Victoria's program. It is simple and gives you an opportunity at all levels to be in the running for extra cash prize and trophy rug.

Entries are coming in and 1* are filling up the fastest. Due to challenges with securing dressage judges for this level we will not run more than 1 class so don't leave your entries too late.

Heytesbury Horse Trials is the only EA event in Victoria between Wandin Park and Friends of Ballarat Eventing Association . Support your Victorian Events :D

Our Saturday night meal looks like being a ripper again, no BBQ but superb meats, vegetarian lasagne and yummy salads by the resident chef, Janine. Look out for the addition to our entry page over the weekend.
