OPENING NIGHT IS FINALLY HERE
After taking 2024 off, Grange Road Lights is officially lighting up the street again tonight, and we could not be more excited to welcome everyone back. The display is bigger, brighter and packed with new surprises, and we’re thrilled to once again be raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Tonight marks the launch of our 2025 season. Our show times for this year are:

5 and 6 December
- 8:30pm Launch Shows

12 to 24 December
- 7:30pm Kids Show
- 8:30pm Nightly Show.

A quick note to help everyone enjoy the night smoothly. Grange Road will be extremely busy, so it is highly advised not to drive down the street. New temporary traffic and parking restrictions are in place, so please take note of the signage when you arrive. For the easiest visit, we recommend parking a couple of streets away and walking in. Limited parking is also available at RG Chisholm Reserve Oval on the corner of Duncan Street and Alfreda Street.

Please continue to be respectful of our neighbours and avoid blocking driveways. Your support and courtesy are a huge part of what keeps this display running year after year.

Throughout the display, you will see QR codes. Make sure you scan them to learn more about the show, our vision, our fundraising efforts and our socials.

We are absolutely thrilled to be back and cannot wait to kick off an incredible season with you tonight. Thank you for your ongoing support and the excitement you bring to this display. Let’s make this a year to remember.

The Grange Road Lights are officially back for 2025!

After taking last year off, we’re beyond excited to return with a bigger, brighter and even more magical display. Over the years, thanks to the incredible support of our community, we’ve raised more than $70,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and we’re ready to continue that tradition this December.

Here are our 2025 dates:

Friday 5 December and Saturday 6 December
8:30pm

Friday 12 December to Wednesday 24 December
7:30pm – 8:00pm: Kids Show
8:30pm Nightly Show

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Grange Road and light up the neighbourhood once again. See you in December!

We’re back for 2025!

After a year off, the Grange Road Lights are firing up again, but this time with a brand-new crew member on board.

Training starts early, and little Critique already has opinions on the programming.

Can’t wait to light up Melbourne and raise funds once again for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the Grange Road Lights display and National Breast Cancer Foundation fundraiser will not be going ahead for the 2024 season.

Unfortunately, obtaining the necessary permits and traffic management approvals from Bayside Council has proven too challenging this year. Despite our best efforts, the council has been unable or unwilling to support measures that could help reduce congestion during peak nights.

In addition to the logistical hurdles, the financial costs have become overwhelming. Over the past two years, we’ve personally invested more than $10,000 to meet council requirements, making it increasingly difficult to continue.

We had been hard at work behind the scenes preparing for another magical season, but without the council’s support—even for basic planning—we’ve had to make the tough decision to take a break for 2024.

We wish you all a very Merry Festive Season and truly hope to see you back in 2025 for another incredible display. Thank you for your understanding and continued support—it means the world to us!
