Beef Australia has appointed the 2027 AMPC National Beef Carcase Competition Committee. This committee is one of the largest carcase competitions in Australia, providing producers with a valuable platform to benchmark carcase performance and breeding programs across all breeds.

Chair of the National Beef Carcase Competition Committee, David Hill said the Carcase Competition is a truly national competition.

"Since the concept of a national competition was initiated there has been successful exhibitors from across the country and the standard continues to rise along with the narrowing of winning margins."

“The committee is made up of people that are involved at the forefront of ensuring the Australian beef industry supply chain continues to be recognised as a producer of high-quality beef in an increasingly competitive market,” said Mr Hill.

Beef Australia has appointed the 2027 Nutrien Ag Solutions Commercial Cattle Championship Committee. This committee offers Australian commercial cattle producers a unique opportunity to compete for national recognition and demonstrate excellence in commercial beef production.

Committee Chair Angus Creedon said he was looking forward to working with the newly appointed committee to deliver a program that reflects all facets of the beef industry.

“The Committee is committed to delivering a competition that commercial producers have come to expect, showcasing the foundation of why beef week exists.

“Through some adjustments to the program, the committee believes it will deliver an improved outcome for the cattle and carcase quality,” Mr Creedon said.

Beef Australia has appointed the 2027 Stud Cattle Championship Committee, who are already working to deliver a competition that upholds the event’s long‑standing reputation and provides seedstock producers with a premier platform to demonstrate genetic excellence.

Committee Chair Matt Welsh said “After just a few early meetings, it’s exciting to know that you are part of a committee that combines both experience with enthusiasm.

“The Committee certainly promises to bring together a great platform for our exhibitors to promote their genetics at this internationally recognised event,” he said.
