Umpires are essential for games to be played; without them, the matches cannot proceed.
Their role is to officiate the games, not to endure abuse or constant questioning regarding their decisions. They cannot see everything that goes on, they cannot see through people.
If you have inquiries about sporting rules, please engage with them in a friendly manner during quarter breaks.
It is important to remember that no one—be it players, umpires, spectators, or RSA staff—deserves to be spoken to disrespectfully.
Mistakes are a part of being human; no one is infallible.
If you find yourself feeling frustrated or overwhelmed during the game, please request a timeout from the umpire and step off the court.
After cooling down, you may approach the umpire, accompanied by your captain, to discuss any concerns, or ask the canteen staff to speak to Sherralee.
