Mitchell's FUNERAL NOTICE

Mitchell George Richards, age 16, passed away peacefully at home in the loving care of his family on the 25th of January.

On 21st June 2005, Mitchell was born to Terese Maree and Stephen Andrew Richards. A lively and outgoing child, Mitchell was known by his friends and family to be courteous, polite, and soothing to be around.

Mitchell was the extra- in extraordinary.
The Author of My Journey, Mitchell, touched many hearts amongst our communities.
Mitchell will be forever loved, and his legacy will continue to inspire people to lead with compassion and grit.

Mitchell’s open celebration of life will be held on
Saturday 5th February 2022 at 10:00 am at The Caves Hall,
and refreshments will begin at 11:00 am at The Caves Country Pub.
All are invited to attend.

Please could we ask no flowers; instead, we would be forever grateful if you gift a native plant to Mitchell’s memorial garden.

Sadly we would like to share the news of Mitchells passing on Tuesday morning. We send our deepest condolences to the Richards family and our love, thoughts & support during this time.
Rest In Peace Mitchell.

I want to let everyone know that at roughly 2:45 am Tuesday, Mitchell grew his wings.
After waking from sleep, Mitchell told us that the day was the most beautiful day he had ever experienced; he was in absolute peace. It was a magical feeling, he told us.
He worked hard breathing, and then on the 25 January passed peacefully in his sleep.
I will attach a photo from two weeks ago to this message; however, I want to tell people that Mitchell is smiling. We had him in his bed at home, tucked in under his blanket.

Thank you 100K FOR Mitchell 🙌🏻

Recently this group raised $73,000 for the Flying Doctor after being inspired by the story of Michell Richards.

In 2017, at the age of 12, Mitchell was diagnosed with cancer. But Mitchell, who has now been transferred by the RFDS five times, has faced the battle with positive thinking and resilience.

Emma from JMZ Constructions Pty Ltd and Leesa from Buddys Fire ran 100km in August to raise money for the Flying Doctor and promote Mitchell’s story.

Mitchell's Books have finally arrived!!!
We will proudly be selling Mitchell's book for $20 with all proceeds going back to The Royal Flying Doctors. Books can be purchased on Saturday night at the 100K For Mitchell Auction & Raffle Event & also from Buddys Fire office.
