Richmond Bush Sprints The first Richmond Bush Races were held in May 2012 as part of the biennial Richmond Outback Fossil Fest.

Such is the popularity of the Sprints, the Richmond Bush Races has become an annual event from 2016 is and part of an expanding Bush Racing circuit.

📢Event Postponement

The Richmond Bush Sprints Committee would like to let everyone know that we have made the difficult decision to postpone our event scheduled for 9 May 2026 to later in the year (new date to be confirmed).

With the current fuel situation across the country, rising costs of living, and the recent North West flooding only just beginning to ease, we believe it is the right call. Many of our competitors travel long distances with horses, and the increasing cost of fuel is making this very challenging.

We understand this is disappointing, but these are tough times for many, and we want to ensure the best possible event for everyone when conditions improve.

We truly appreciate your support and understanding, and we look forward to bringing the Richmond Bush Sprints back later in the year.
