Happy (belated) National Volunteer Week to all our incredible volunteers! 💛
Sacrededge simply wouldn’t happen without the generosity, care, creativity and hard work of our volunteer community. From welcoming guests, setting up spaces, baking slices and cooking up 72 litres of soup, supporting artists and presenters, making cups of tea, solving problems behind the scenes and creating a warm atmosphere all weekend long — every contribution matters.
This year, our wonderful volunteer photographer captured some of our volunteers in action across the festival weekend. While this is only a small glimpse (we had around 60 volunteers across the 3 days!), we hope these photos help shine a light on the people who make Sacrededge possible.
Thank you for giving your time, energy and heart to this community. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. ✨

In a way we are probably all still integrating what we experienced over the weekend.
But we wanted to share with you some of your highlights with you. Everyone had such an individual experience of the Festival and curated their very own unique itinerary, learnings and gifts for themselves.
Which session or experience was your highlight? Please share in the comments 👇🏽

Sieta is the Narrative and Partnerships Director at CERES in Melbourne. Her role is to connect the many stories of CERES across regenerative farming programs, environmental education, social enterprises and community participation, into an impactful, unified narrative. Together, these stories aim to change the systems that no longer serve our world, and help people fall in love with the earth again.

Sieta assists purpose-led organisations and people to discover, share and live their deeper values. Through her work, Sieta aims to respond to the question, "What are we longing for?" and contribute to building a new story of humanity that is regenerative and hopeful. She finds joy in bringing together small groups of humans from all ages and backgrounds to explore heart-centred practice, and to learn how to live well together through times of great change.

In 2021 she co-founded the year-long Nature-Based Leadership Training in partnership with Claire Dunn and continues to facilitate the program, bringing a spiritual ecology lens to the program.

Meet the Sonderverse Team:
Will, Amanda and Kelly from Sonderverse bring together gaming, creativity, and reflection to explore connection and belonging. They create welcoming, interactive spaces where people can play, share stories, and discover meaning through games—whether digital or tabletop.

Sonderverse creates "Games Café – Play & Connect" at Sacrededge 2026:
A relaxed space to drop in, play, and meet others—no experience needed. It’s about connection, not competition.

Open Play: Games available all weekend
Community Games: Join scheduled group sessions
Showcase Games: Try guided games with a host

Sacred Gaming – Finding Meaning in Play
Explore how games can be more than entertainment—they can spark reflection, connection, and a sense of belonging. Through stories and examples, Will and Kelly share how play can help us better understand ourselves and others.
Just bring your curiosity.

Tamala is a proud Bundjalung and Lama Lama spoken word artist, actor, writer and audiobook narrator based in Naarm (Melbourne). In recent years Tamala’s spoken word performances has included a standing ovation for her collaboration with Tibetan artist, Tenzin Choegyal for Cradle of Life, which premiered at the Melbourne Recital Centre and also for her writing and narrating the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s One Song: The Music Of Archie Roach memorial concert. Having performed on some of the biggest stages in the country, including Byron Bay’s Bluesfest in 2023, Tamala’s passion for storytelling has also led to her recording some of her long-form poetry pieces to music, with the hopes of releasing an album in the near future. For the Cradle of Life performance Tamala is joined by Stephen Magnusson on guitar and Lionel Lauch on yidaki.
