Show Whitsunday

Show Whitsunday We hope you enjoy all the fun and excitement of this year’s show!

Every year a small dedicated team of volunteers endeavour to provide the local community with 2 days of quality family entertainment that also showcases the many talented pursuits of this regions residents. It is always our goal to make this years Show better than the last and one we hope leaves lasting memories in those that attend.

This Sunday, our Whitsunday community will come together to remember, honour and pay tribute to four brave Australian Army aviators whose lives were tragically lost in service.

⚫️Sunday 26 July
⚫️1:00pm
⚫️Shute Harbour

The Bushman 83 Memorial will be officially unveiled and dedicated, creating a lasting place of remembrance overlooking the waters where tragedy struck.

On 28 July 2023, during Exercise Talisman Sabre, callsign BUSHMAN 83 crashed off the Whitsunday coast near Airlie Beach. All four crew members from the 6th Aviation Regiment, flying an MRH-90 Taipan helicopter, made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their callsign now proudly lives on through this memorial.

At Whitsunday Transit, we are incredibly proud to support this special occasion by providing airport transfers for the families, friends and guests arriving at Whitsunday Coast Airport. It is a privilege to welcome those travelling to our region to honour these courageous servicemen and to play a small part in such a meaningful day.

As a community, we are honoured to stand alongside the families, Defence personnel and all those who have worked tirelessly to make this memorial a reality.

SWEET SCHOOLS COMPETITION – SHOW WHITSUNDAY 🌱

Our Agriculture students proudly participated in the Sweet Schools Competition at the Whitsunday Show, dedicating months of hard work to growing their own sugar cane crop. While they didn't place this year, the experience provided valuable hands-on learning and a deeper understanding of the sugar cane industry and the growing process.

A special thank you to Luke Valmadre from Canegrowers for mentoring our students throughout the project. Your expertise, encouragement and industry knowledge provided an invaluable learning experience.

We would also like to acknowledge our Agriculture Assistant, Gayle Watts, for her ongoing support, guidance and dedication to our students. Thank you for helping make this opportunity possible and for inspiring the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Well done to all of our Agriculture students on your hard work and commitment! 🌾👏

The 2026 Show Whitsunday is over for another year..... and what a weekend it was !

Whilst I do wish the weather had been a little kinder to us all - its the one thing we can’t control - we just have to deal with it and enjoy the challenge !

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following people -

Firstly my hard working committee, who just get the JOB DONE year after year.

The amazing group of volunteers who give their time during Show weekend, but also in the weeks leading up, and then today, the aftermath and clean up .......
Volunteers are the heart of our SHOW. We could not do this without you !

To our Sponsors - I cannot imagine what a Show looks like without the generousity of our amazing sponsors - many of whom have supported The Show for many years.
There would not be a Show or Showgrounds without your support....

To those who attended & enjoyed the Show - you are the reason we do this every year.

Our Community is the reason we have a proud Show History, that is 113 years old.

My Heartfelt Thanks & Gratitude to each and everyone of you.
