The Born To Run Festival is a trail running festival held on the Saturday of the October Long Weekend. In 2026 - 3rd October. Entries will open in April 2026.

It is held at "The Foundations" Portland NSW. Races: 2k Kids, 5k, 10k and Half Marathon.

After selling out during Race Week last year, we have approval to increase capacity of up to 150 entrants this year (last year was 120).
In the first 2 days since entries opened, we have seen nearly 20% of entries sold.

It's time to get excited!
Your journey to the 2026 Born To Run Festival Start Line begins today with entries to this year's event opening at 1pm today (Thursday 30th April).
Choose from the 5k, 10k, or Half Marathon, all ran on the trails of - the historic Portland Cement Works Site. Or attempt to become a Trail Boss by completing all three events.
We also have the popular 2k Kids race to complete a family morning of running.
Race Day is Saturday 3rd October 2026.
