🏴☘️ Heading to Portarlington for the National Celtic Festival this King's Birthday long weekend? ☘️🏴

We're excited to welcome festival visitors to our beautiful bayside town for four days of music, culture, dance, food, markets and Celtic celebrations.

If you're in town on Saturday morning, why not start your festival weekend with a scenic 5km walk, jog, run or volunteer at Portarlington parkrun?

To celebrate the festival, we'll once again be holding our annual **"Touch of Tartan" parkrun**, so feel free to wear a splash of tartan, a kilt, or your favourite Celtic colours.

Another fabulous morning in Portarlington, we had 59 runners and walkers out there today. Congratulations to the 6 runners who achieved a PB 🏃🏻‍♀️🎉

This morning would not have been possible without our wonderful volunteers, a big thank you to Gemma, John, Simon, Ash, Andy, Sav, Margaret, Carol and Erin. We really do appreciate everyone who steps up to run our event every Saturday 🥳

We are still looking to fill both the Timekeeper and Barcode Scanner role for this weekend. Without volunteers we cannot run our event. Both roles are very easy, if you’ve not volunteered before this is the perfect chance to step up.

What a beautiful Saturday morning we had. Congratulations to the 68 runners who joined us this morning for event number 391.

A special mention to Adrian for reaching both 200 volunteers and 200 runs this morning! Adrian helps keep the rest of us run directors in line and is the glue that holds Portarlington Parkrun together, so it was great to see him achieve such big milestones this morning 🥳
