🎭🎨 WINTER FESTIVAL CALL‑OUT: Buskers & Face Painters Wanted! 🎶❄️

Applications are now open for Buskers and Face Painters to be part of the 2026 Port Pirie SALA Winter Festival!

We’re looking for talented musical performers and creatives to help bring colour, creativity and a fun vibe to this much‑loved winter event.

🔔 Applications close: Sunday 17 May 2026 @ 10.00pm
✅ All interested buskers and face painters must complete the application form
✅ Places are limited, so get in early!

🐶 Bringing Your Dog to the Winter Festival? 🐾

We love seeing furry friends at the Port Pirie SALA Winter Festival! However, please give consideration to bringing along your pooch, as not all festival conditions are suitable for dogs. If you're unsure, it might be nicer for your dog to enjoy a quiet night at home 🐕

If your dog is well socialised and up for the event, please ensure they remain under effective physical restraint (on a leash no greater than 2 meters) at all times, and all p**p deposited is quickly and appropriately disposed of (in a p**p bag and then placed in a bin).

Here are a few tips for an enjoyable outing for your dog:

➡️ Arrive early, allowing your dog to adjust gradually to the increasing crowd, other dogs and stimuli.
➡️ Monitor your dog for any signs of nerves and be aware of their comfort levels, and remove them from any situation should they become overwhelmed.
➡️ Constant supervision of your dog is essential, attending with a friend or partner allows you to share the responsibility, whilst enjoying the event.
➡️ Always check with other owners before allowing dogs to interact.

We are excited to welcome back Evelyn Roth's Nylon Zoo who are returning to this year's Port Pirie SALA Winter Festival!

Nylon Zoo has been an absolute HIT the past few years, featuring larger than life creatures full of colour and imagination 🐢🦈🦔

Join us at Memorial Park tomorrow for children's Animal Parades, Storytelling inside the Giant Turtle and more!

Show times for Story Time and the Animal Parades will be at 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm so there are plenty of opportunities to join the fun ✨
