There will be a table setup near the clubrooms with a copy of the fixtures and some blank team sheets if needed. Please ensure you hand in your completed team sheets after your game each night.

Please remember to respect the referees, follow player and spectator codes of conduct at all times, or reach out to me if needed.

Be sure to tag us or send us some photos of your team and players and supporters. We hope you all enjoy our 1st round of the Sunset Summer 7s Challenge!!

Bar will be open inside clubrooms and canteen/bbq available, so make sure you pop in and say hi to the amazing volunteers, enjoy a refreshing drink and grab something tasty to eat!

New event for SSS people to get on and support.

The “Sunset 7’s Challenge” is an exciting new 7-a-side soccer competition set to be held at O’Sullivan Beach Sports Complex, offering a unique blend of competitive play and community engagement. The competition is scheduled to take place on Friday evenings, providing a thrilling way for players and spectators to kickstart their weekends.

DATE: Friday evenings, beginning 25th October, running for 7 weeks until 6th December.
VENUE: O'Sullivan Beach Sports & Community Association
*Food options and bar facilities available.

U8s, U10s, U12s, U14s - only 8 spots available in each age group, so be sure to get in quick and submit your team registration via the link below. Each team will consist of a minimum of 7 players, and a maximum of 10 players.

Open to all genders and skill levels. Local soccer teams, school and community groups, and sports enthusiasts in South Adelaide and surrounding areas are encouraged to join.

REFEREES: will be provided! If you are interested in joining our team of referees, please send us a message or email to [email protected]
*Referees will be compensated for their time.

The “Sunset 7’s Challenge” aims to:
• Promote Community Engagement: Foster camaraderie and sportsmanship within the South Adelaide region by bringing together soccer enthusiasts of all skill levels.
• Enhance Physical Fitness: Encourage regular physical activity and a healthy lifestyle among participants.
• Provide Competitive Soccer Opportunities: Offer a platform for local teams to compete in a well-organized, competitive environment.

The “Sunset 7’s Challenge” at OBSCA promises to be a vibrant and competitive event that will not only provide a fantastic soccer experience but also strengthen the community ties in South Adelaide. We are confident that this competition will become a staple in the local sports calendar and look forward to your participation and support.

I would also like to thank the people over the years who have stepped up and given back to the sport we love. A few names that can't go without a mention are Cheryl Sawtell and Craig and Jasmin Dunkin'. These events would not have happened without you and others help. I am grateful to everyone who has supported us and I hope at some stage SSS will be back.
It's an event that donated every cent back to the host club to help with the growth of football with no player feeling the pressure of club football.

Hey SSS FB followers unfortunately we will not be running a SSS competition this season. Over the past few months I have been working a new job and looking for new opportunities in football for myself.
With all this going on I have not been able to find a new venue for SSS competition and after many years giving my time and money back to the game unfortunately this year I will need to put my family first.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported this event over the years and hopefully next year we can move forward at a new venue.

Well done to everyone who played this year's SSS, Overall, it was another fantastic season with most following the idea of fun summer soccer. We look forward to see you all back next year for another year. Thank you to all those that helped out and a special thanks to Carol's Canteen for the fantastic food for seven weeks.

All leagues now correct to rd 5 (remember rd4 will be played after rd 7)
Just a few issues from last week, regardless of your score or quality of your team or the team you play you need to show respect to each other. Goal keepers this means staying on your feet and watching the game, players on the pitch this means not making fun of the other players. SSS is not saying don't have fun and try tricks you wouldn't do in a game as this is part of it but just show respect.

Parents, please remember you teach your kids respect so yelling abuse and disrespectful comments to players on the other team is 100% not ok. I witness this firsthand, and it was very disappointing, you do not need to get involved and offenders will be asked to leave. I was behind the goal and was talking with the keeper telling him not to worry he was doing a great job and not many goals a Senior keeper would save. I was then asked by the referee to go and speak to the parents as the comments from the losing team was very concerning to him. Unfortunately, by the time I listened to the comments being made the game finished and the kids came over to the area. I did not feel this was the correct place to deal with the issue as kids don't need to see parents in an argument or disagreement with officials. However, some parents still continued to encourage the team about respect and how the other players showed none????? You are getting involved with 13-year-old kids, is this really showing respect????

Remember this before you take it out on SSS we didn't put your team in the age group you are playing in - YOU DID, or your delegate did, and no team is from any club at SSS they are a group of kids playing in a fun tournament as friends. SSS can only control so much on the field and we can only offer advice on how to change it up to make it fair. One team has been spoken with already and i will be talking to the other (i have spoken with one parent already) next week.
