Big news for WA's tech ecosystem. 🙌

The WA Government has committed $1.1 million over four years to West Tech Fest through the New Industries and Innovation Fund, backing the continued growth of one of Australia's largest innovation festivals. This is the most significant funding commitment in the festival's 15-year history.

And in 2026, we're taking it to Fremantle…

While West Tech Fest 2026 will span multiple venues across the Perth metro area, we are moving West Tech Main to Fremantle with multiple iconic locations hosting investor sessions, founder conversations, deep-dive program events and a whole lot more - we’re turning Freo into a city-wide learning lab.

With renewed Government support and a brand new Fremantle home, 2026 is shaping up to be the most exciting yet.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸! West Tech Fest 2025 brought amazing crowds and huge energy across Perth, Fremantle and Rottnest Island, with sellout events at West Tech Women, Wadjemup, Freo Startup Fest and First Nations House + our biggest West Tech Main yet.

Across the five days, we explored the future of tech, sustainability, capital, creativity and leadership. From AI and quantum convergence to green finance, climate innovation, circularity, commercialisation and human-centred leadership - the conversations were bold, future-focused and deeply inspiring.

But what truly defined the week were the connections - founders meeting investors, unexpected collaborations forming, partnerships taking shape and real deal flow moving through the ecosystem. The kind of momentum you can only create when this community comes together...
