The Mighty Eagle has landed at West Tech Fest 2026 🦅

- Founder of Slush, driving force behind FinEst Bay Area and former Mighty Eagle at Rovio.

As the man behind the business of Angry Birds, Peter became a global name in tech, and in 2011 Time Magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people on the planet. That's impressive, but what you really want to hear about is what he did next…

He founded Slush, the student-led tech gathering that has grown into a convergence of more than 12,000 founders, investors and tech leaders in Helsinki every year.

Today he's putting his knowledge, networks and energy into FinEst Bay Area, a project to capitalise on and compound the talent density across the top of the EU through community, education and large-scale infrastructure, including a mission to build a tunnel between Helsinki and Tallinn!

Every founder at West Tech Fest knows what it takes to build something from the edge of the map, and Peter has spent his career helping turn Helsinki into a city the world's tech leaders travel to.

What could WA build if it thought this big? 🚀

What does it take to lead when the pressure's on? 💭

West Tech Women, presented by City of Perth, opens West Tech Fest 2026. It's the room where the West's women in tech meet their next co-founder, investor or hire.

Olympian turned founder Bronte Campbell is locked in. She'll share a firsthand look at resilience under real pressure, from elite sport to founder life.

Start with a networking breakfast, then settle in for keynotes, candid discussions and opportunities for real connection.

The founders, operators and investors shaping WA's tech ecosystem will talk openly about leadership journeys, high performance, authenticity and what it really takes to build a business.

Seven world titles. Six of them back to back. No one else has done it. 🏄‍♀️

LAYNE BEACHLEY AO is joining us at West Tech Fest 2026.

Adopted at birth, shaped by mental health challenges, career-threatening injuries and profound personal loss, Layne turned adversity into her greatest teacher. Resilience isn't born in calm waters, it's forged in the waves we're willing to ride.

Now one of Australia's most respected voices on human performance and leadership, and co-founder of Awake Academy, the Centre of Human Performance, she helps leaders restore energy, lead themselves properly and perform under pressure without burning out.

As every founder at West Tech Fest knows what it costs to keep going when the conditions turn. Layne has built a career, and then a business, on exactly that.

West Tech Main is making its biggest move yet 🚢

For over a decade, West Tech Main has been the festival’s flagship day, bringing together the state's boldest founders, investors and policymakers. In 2026, we’re leaving the C*D for Fremantle, and turning it into a citywide learning lab!

We’re setting up the Festival Hub at the Fremantle Town Hall & Walyalup Koort, and then the day branches out across Freo, with parallel sessions running at venues including the Fremantle Buffalo Club and H&C Urban Winery, Young Entreprenurs Showcase at Dept of Communities HQ and Investor Pitch sessions in the iconic Fremantle Ferris Wheel 🎡

Across the day you'll move between conversations on founders, community and investment, with deep dives on the Buffalo Stage, voices that inspire, educate and support on the Meshpoints Urban Stage, and the Siren Stage exploring the sectors that are driving growth and prosperity. Alongside heaps of action, keynotes and panels at the Festival Hub.

Earlybird GA tickets are $369, the cheaper than last year. And if you're under 25 or studying, tickets are just $75.
