SATURDAY 13 JUNE - Burswood Event #353

Thanks to everyone who joined us at parkrun this morning! It was great to see so many people out enjoying the cool conditions and starting their weekend with a walk, jog, run, volunteer, or cheer from the sidelines.

A huge thank you to our high-vis heroes who made today’s event possible. From setting up the course and marshalling to timekeeping, scanning, tail walking and packing down afterwards, parkrun simply doesn’t happen without volunteers.

If you’ve never volunteered before, we’d love to have you join the high-vis hero team in the coming weeks. Every role is straightforward, and full support is provided.

⚠️ Parkrun update – this morning ⚠️

A quick heads-up that parking in the area is very limited this morning due to the North Melbourne v West Coast Eagles game at Optus Stadium later today, with car parks closed.

Please allow extra time to arrive, and if you can, consider carpooling, parking further away, or walking/jogging in if you’re local.

🚨 Volunteer call-out! 🚨

This week’s parkrun roster is looking a little lonely. At the moment we have a Run Director and a Tail Walker… and that’s about it! 😅

The good news is the forecast is looking pretty decent for Saturday morning, with cool winter temperatures and any showers more likely later in the day. 🌤️

If you’ve been meaning to give volunteering a go, this is a great week to jump in. Most roles are simple, training is provided, and you’ll be helping make parkrun happen for everyone.
