Today at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, we’re proud to showcase Parkes Show as they take the reins at the Big Bush BBQ!

The Big Bush BBQ is a celebration of regional spirit — bringing agricultural show societies from across NSW to one of Australia’s biggest stages. It’s more than just a barbecue — it’s country hospitality, community pride and local storytelling served up to thousands of visitors. 💚

By firing up the grill, Parkes Show is sharing the heart of their region, promoting their local Show, and raising valuable funds to support their community back home.

A special thank you to the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS), the RAS Foundation (RASF) and Woolworths for making this opportunity possible and supporting regional Show Societies to shine on the big stage.

Congratulations to Western District, the 2026 District Exhibits Overall Winner, and to Central District, the 2026 Display Winner.

For Western District, this is an especially meaningful moment, marking their first overall win since 1989. A wonderful achievement and a proud moment for everyone involved.

On Saturday night Bridget Mrak, our 2025 Parkes Show Young Woman, represented our town at the Zone 6 final held at Eugowra.

Unfortunately Bridget wasn’t successful in making in to the next level, but proudly represented our town.

Congratulations to Bridget and the other entrants for making it through to zone. Congratulations the three entrants off to the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Clair Stiff (Wellington Show Society), Eva Price (Blayney Show Society), and Libby Coles (Forbes Show Society).
