ASTLEY CUP ORANGE V DUBBO DAY 1

Our OHS gang started off the second leg of the cup with tennis. Our players came home with a win, with a final score of 8 - 4! MVPs were Billy and Steph.

Next was the girls soccer. They ended the first half with Dubbo leading 1 - 4. Our girls made an amazing comeback, with the final score being 4 - 5 Dubbo’s way. MVP was Millie!

The boys played next. It was a tough game and Dubbo came out on top with 5-1 as the final score.

Athletics started shortly after the boys game, starting off strong with placings in the 100, 400, 800 and 1500m. Lucy won the long jump and our athletes placed in the shot put aswell.

Our athletes played with heart and we couldn’t be prouder. Even though the day didn’t end as we’d hoped, we’re looking forward to another day of competition. GO OHS 💛🖤

ASTLEY CUP ORANGE V BATHURST DAY 2

Exciting day for OHS!! we started off with tennis, and all our players have it their all. Unfortunately Bathurst managed to secure the win but not without challenge, as some of the matches ended with tie breakers. Our MVPs were Sam and Steph. Well done!

Next we went to hockey, where the girls managed to keep the game tight in the first half with nil all. Bathurst ended up taking home the win with a 4-0 lead against our girls. They still played exceptionally, and our MVP was Georgia.

Boys soccer was next, and the game was a nail biter that ended in a 2-2 draw. The boys did us proud!! This match put us in a tie with Bathurst, with both schools at 7. MVP was Billy!

Last was girls soccer. It was a fierce game but our girls came out on top with a 4-2 win, allowing OHS to beat Bathurst with a final score of 9-7! MVP was Miki 🏆

We’re extremely proud of our athletes and the fight they put up in our final day against Bathurst. See you next week Dubbo! 💛🖤

ASTLEY CUP DAY 1
We started astley 2025 off with a bang today! Our athletes were geared up and ready to fight for the cup.

The day started with rugby league, which the boys dominated with a 30 - 18 point win. Lennie was named MVP.

Next was athletics, which ended with only a 1 point difference. Our runners were fantastic and gave it their all, Renzo set an impressive PB in shot put and our long jumpers and high jumpers impressed us immensely. We came out on top with a final score of 50.5 - 49.5. Well done guys!

We then travelled to the gym to watch our boys play basketball. It was an intense game, with a tie going through 2 periods. In the end the Bathurst boys came out on top with a 49 - 47 point win. We’re extremely proud with how our team played today, it was a tough game and you guys fought very hard.

The last sport on the agenda was netball. The girls secured a lead in the first quarter and managed to keep it throughout the difficult game. The girls came out on top with a 54 - 36 point win over Bathurst. So proud girls!

The overall score by the end of the day was 6 - 2 OHS way. Our students showed spirit and support for all the athletes and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone who competed today. Keep it up tomorrow guys, GO OHS 💛🖤
