Stay tuned.....
Sadly we have not been able to run the festival for the past three years, due to bushfire risks and then COVID restrictions. Generally the annual Numeralla Folk Festival is held at the end weekend every January. It is the last traditional “free” folk festival left in Australia, there are no tickets - (a raffle is run selling tickets to raise funds to keep things going) entertainmen
t and camping are completely free. Come and join us for a long weekend of music, poetry, dance, markets, dips in the river, yarns around the campfire and convivial conversation. Highlights of the festival include bush dances, a fun kid’s program, dance and music workshops (all ages and no prior skill required), and the blackboard concert - seasoned professionals and budding artists can chalk their name up to play a couple of songs, recite a poem, spin a yarn or entertain the crowd in any creative way. Amble about to sample the fresh food delights, pick up a bargain, listen to some Numeralla bluegrass music, or have a cuppa. If all this sounds too hectic, you can simply relax by the river and enjoy the music and the beautiful scenery, or there is always a yarn or a music session happening at the hall or the campsites.
