I’m working on something a little different to my usual projects. It’s with the new Tree of Life fabric (Lasenby cotton range) from Liberty.
I’ve been wanting to dedicate a small corner of my shop for baby quilts, as I often have ladies looking to make a cot quilt for an expectant baby in the family.
I’ve revisited an old pattern I designed some years ago, but never got to the stage of releasing the design. I’m hoping to have it completed, published and made into kits in time for AQC (Australasian Quilt Convention) next month. Wish me luck!
And speaking of luck, I am having some success with my pumpkin crop. I’ve been nurturing this crop since planting in October. I feared it was a failed crop as no flowers were appearing and my friends were at the stage they were already picking theirs. I stopped watering them, even through a week of 30 degree plus weather. Well I think the thought of death forced them into flowering. In shock I started the watering again and now I have at least 8 pumpkins growing. I hope they get to mature before the plants start dying back.
