🏆2025 COMPETITIVE WAVE RESULTS 🏆

WOMENS’ DIVISION
🥇 Sarah Cullen – 00:46:16
🥈 Mariia Skorikova – 00:47:52
🥉 Dagmar Mulligan – 00:49:27

MENS’ DIVISION
🥇 Reg Sharpe – 00:30:53
🥈 Jesse Rowlands – 00:31:56
🥉 Matthew French – 00:34:32

The 2025 Rugged Race Competitive Wave brought the heat, and the highlight of the day was no doubt Reg Sharpe’s achievements, officially the THREE-TIME MEN’S RUGGED CHAMPION, having taken out 1st place in the Men’s Division three years running. Not only did he defend his title, he absolutely obliterated his previous times. In 2023, he finished in 39:27. In 2024, 36:10. And this year? 30:53.

Close behind was Jesse Rowlands, locking in 2nd place again after also coming 2nd in 2023. He shaved nearly eight minutes off his 2023 time of 39:50, crossing the line this year in 31:56, an incredible effort. Matthew French rounded out the Men’s podium, coming 3rd in 34:32, also improving on his 2024 2nd place time of 36:45.

In the Women’s Division, Sarah Cullen DOMINATED. After coming 2nd last year with a time of 53:31, she returned in 2025 and stormed through the course in 46:16, claiming the title of 2025 WOMEN’S RUGGED CHAMPION.

A huge congratulations also to Mariia Skorikova, who came 2nd at 47:52, and Dagmar Mulligan, who claimed 3rd with a strong 49:27. All three women finished under the 50-minute mark, making this the most competitive women’s fields we’ve ever seen.

It was a seriously stacked field this year, with returning elites pushing each other harder than ever. The energy was high, and every single athlete who stepped into that competitive wave gave it everything. It was a real nail biter.

A massive shoutout to all who competed, we can’t wait to see what 2026 brings.

WHAT. A. DAY.

A massive thank you to every single person who came out and made today what it was.

This was BY FAR our biggest and best Rugged Race yet, we hope you had as much fun out there as we did.

To our volunteers, staff, competitors, crew, and every muddy legend who ran the course today, THANK YOU. We couldn’t have done it without you.

We hope you all sleep like absolute champions tonight. You’ve earned it.

FINAL EVENT INFO 🔥 RUGGED RACE IS TOMORROW!

📍 Address: 276 Masons Road, Nugent

Head to Sorell, turn onto Nugent Road and follow the signs from there (about 25-minute drive).

⏰ ARRIVE AT LEAST 45 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR WAVE

This gives you time to check in, collect your headband, drop your bag, and settle in before your run.

Download or screenshot your ticket in advance. There’s no phone reception or Wi-Fi at the site.

Limited merch will be available to buy on the day, first in best dressed.

☀️ WEATHER

Partly sunny, light winds, top of 14°C. You’ll warm up on course, bring a jumper for after.

The Rugged Race is THIS Saturday and we’re nearly full, most waves are sold out and final tickets close Friday 8 pm (TOMORROW NIGHT)

☀️ Weather’s looking awesome and we’re set for a ripper day. Don’t forget:

• Dress-up comp is on, dress to impress!

• Bring:
– Comfy clothes to run in (if not dressing up)
– Closed toe running shoes, that you don't mind getting by muddy
– Spare un**es, socks & change of clothes
– Towel + plastic bag for muddy gear
– Screenshot/download your ticket

• Food + drinks available for purchase onsite all day in our food court area

⏰ ARRIVE: at LEAST 45 minutes prior to your wave start time. This will give you enough time to check in, drop your bag off at bag check, and settle in before your run!

🎟️ Online ticket sales end TOMORROW NIGHT (Friday) at 8 pm. Gate sales will be available, but in very limited capacity, so make sure to grab your tickets online before 8 pm tomorrow to avoid missing out.
