Shoalhaven Gran Fondo - IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Regrettably we advise that Gran Fondo Shoalhaven Festival and all associated events planned for the 28th & 29th of September 2013 have been postponed to allow for further detailed planning regarding course logistics.

At present there are unresolved logistical issues which may affect the quality of the course & the experience of participants.

These issues relate to providing the highest standard of event to cyclists whilst also lessening the impact the event may have on the wider community not involved in the festival.

We will be announcing the new scheduled dates for Gran Fondo Shoalhaven as soon as final course and race schedules are confirmed. We acknowledge the support and contribution of Shoalhaven City Council, NSW Police and RMS, and continue to work closely with them - all parties remain dedicated to producing this quality cycling festival.

Participants are requested to contact us at [email protected] or (02) 4423 7775 to discuss refund options, which can include an Event credit.

AND hands up who is sleep deprived from watching the Tour De France? So excited for the Aussies this year!

Last night, Australian Richie Porte (Team Sky) played a key role in Froome's stage win, accelerating 10km from the summer of Mount Ventoux to drop most of Froome's rivals.

Canberra's Michael Rogers (Saxo Tinkoff) is now Australia's top rider on GC in 12th place. Unfortunately for Cadel Evans - he has tumbled to 16th overall after a ' "horrible" ride on Mount Ventoux....not his year!

• Family Fun – 15km 10km participation ride – Nowra to Terrara
• Coastal Cruise – 40km participation ride –
Nowra to Greenwell Point
• River Ride – 70km participation ride – Nowra to Burrier
• Pedal 2 Pub – 70km social ride – Nowra to Nerriga Pub for lunch
• Nerriga to Nowra – 70km race
• Ride for Robbie – a fundraising, 140 km participation ride or
race from Nowra to Nerriga and in memory of local talented
cyclist, Robbie Willliams

The gateway to the South Coast is the stunning region known as the Shoalhaven. Situated an easy 2.5 hours from Sydney and loved by many for its miles of pristine beaches, secluded bays and fertile farmlands, the area is set to host the Shoalhaven Gran Fondo cycling event this September 28th to 29th.
