Already reeling over the fallout from their financial woes, Football Australia’s administrators are now being accused of dropping the ball with their Indigenous player development programs.

Next week, when the Socceroos announce their 26-man squad for the upcoming FIFA men’s World Cup, take a close look at the names and faces of all the players lucky enough to be selected.

What you will see is a team that rightly prides itself on racial diversity and inclusion.

But what you won’t see are any Aboriginal players. Not this time, anyway.

Nor last time, for that matter. Nor any time in the last half century.

Everyone that attends also gets a ticket to the A-League game at 5pm.
