LAST CHANCE TO APPLY. ⏰
Applications for the 2027 High Performance Program powered by Porsche close tomorrow, Friday 18 September at 5:00pm AEST.

Following the success of the 2026 program, we doubled the number of places to 1,200, giving more sub-elite athletes from around the world the chance to race Sydney.

Places are split across two groups:
1️⃣ Sub-Elite Program: 600 of the fastest male, female and non-binary applicants based on time
2️⃣ Good for Age Program: 600 of the fastest applicants within their age & gender category

Meeting the application standard does not guarantee a place. All applications will be assessed together, with the fastest applicants with validated qualifying times offered places until they’re exhausted.

Applications close: 5:00pm AEST, Friday 18 September

Results will be announced in early November. Unsuccessful applicants will automatically be carried over to the ballot - no need to apply separately.

Two weeks until Sydney could be your next runcation🏅

The ballot for the 2027 TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS opens on 29 September - this is your opportunity to take on Australia’s greatest marathon at a bucket list destination.

Cross the finish line at the Sydney Opera House, then recover with world-famous beaches, coastal trails or day trips to the mountains.

Next stop? Sydney, Australia 📍

🗓️ Event Date: Sunday, 29 August 2027
🗓️ Ballot Opens: 10:00 AM AEST, 29 September 2026
🗓️ Ballot Closes: 10:00 AM AEDT, 19 October 2026

The ballot opens soon. Remember, it’s not first come, first served. Every application has an equal chance, no matter when you enter.

Applications are now OPEN for the 2027 High Performance Program powered by Porsche!

After an incredible 2026 program, we’re giving more sub-elite athletes the chance to race Sydney, with 1,200 places up for grabs in 2027.

For the first time, the program will be delivered across two groups:

1️⃣ Sub-Elite Program: 600 of the fastest male, female and non-binary applicants based on time
2️⃣ Good for Age Program: 600 of the fastest applicants within their age & gender category

A quick reminder - meeting the application standard itself does not guarantee a place. Applications will be assessed together, with the fastest male, female and non-binary athletes with validated times being offered places until they are exhausted. Applications open: 12:00pm AEST, Monday 14 September
Applications close: 5:00pm AEST, Friday 18 September

Results will be drawn the same time as the 2027 TCS Sydney Marathon Ballot in early November. Unsuccessful applicants will automatically be carried over to the Ballot - no need to apply separately.

DOUBLE THE CHANCE 📈

Following the success of the 2026 High Performance Program powered by Porsche, the High Performance Program is doubling to 1,200 places for 2027. This expansion will give twice the number of sub-elite athletes from around the world the opportunity to earn a guaranteed place on next year’s start line.

For the first time, the program will be delivered across two groups:
1️⃣ Sub-Elite Program: 600 of the fastest male, female and non-binary applicants based on time
2️⃣ Good for Age Program: 600 of the fastest applicants within their age & gender category

Swipe to see the 2027 application standards across 11 age groups. Meeting the application standard itself does not guarantee a place. Applications will be assessed together, with the fastest male, female and non-binary athletes with validated times being offered places until they are exhausted.

Applications open: 12:00pm AEST, Monday 14 September
Applications close: 5:00pm AEST, Friday 18 September

All unsuccessful HPP applications will be carried over to the ballot, and applicants will receive an email notifying them of their ballot outcome on 3 November. There is no need to apply separately for the ballot.
