RRR Trail Ride RRR Trail Ride is a motorbike trail ride based around the North Star district in North Western NSW.

Track marking is going well if not a little dry, that should be a livestock dam.

The tracks are really starting to shape up. Thanks to our awesome track marking volunteers, you legends.

20km we have reduced the amount of rocks significantly, there are still a few but not anywhere near like last year. We hope it will be an all ability track. (Still a little too rocky for a 50cc bike I’m afraid. There will be tracks at the club for those)

40km it’s going to be a ripper, similar to last year but with a few added fun sections, and a tricky little trip up the mountain if you’re game enough.

80 km we are still working on.

We hope to have tickets for sale in the coming weeks, attendees from last year should keep an eye on their emails for the website address for early access.

Track marking has started, we have found a good new way to the lunch stop for the 20km loop, many thanks to our awesome volunteers that give up there weekends to help us mark the track, we definitely couldn’t do the ride with out your help!!

The RRR Trail Ride Committee would like to take the opportunity to give a huge shout to all those who attended on the weekend. We had just over 250 riders, with a really good mix of juniors and seniors, with plenty of families in the mix, all of whom seemed to spend the 2 days with a smile on their faces. We were admittedly a bit nervous restarting this ride, given how we had to start with an es**rted section, but everyone took it in their stride and had no complaints. The most common comment from all the volunteers was that it was a terrific bunch of humans.
We have to own a few mistakes though. There were some comments about the track marking, and we acknowledge that in some sections it wasn’t as good as we would have liked, but the forced postponement just gave the cattle and birds and sun a much longer opportunity to pull down and fade all the markings.
We also acknowledge that we underestimated the demand for a proper intermediate track for those kids ready to get off the novice track. The topography of the area means it is difficult to get to the back half of the track without going over that pebbly hill, but we are already working on ideas to rectify that for next year. For those kids who did take it on, well done! We’re sure there’ll be stories at school this week of how the rocks were as big as cars, and that there were billions of them!
Lastly we’d like to thank the many volunteers who worked tirelessly to get the track marked over the last few months, and kept the food and drink up to everyone on the weekend. Of course we also owe the North Star Sporting Club and the landholders a huge debt of gratitude for without them there would be no ride.

Sign on will be available from 6 - 8pm on Friday night, the club will be cooking pizzas, and the beer will be cold, so come on up grab a pizza, a beer and collect your wristbands.

Limited signup will be available on Saturday morning. Please arrive before riders briefing.

A reminder small campfires are allowed however you will need to bring your own wood, the wood on the sporting grounds is probably a horse cross country jump, do not burn them.

The weather is looking warm, please bring something to carry water in, water will be available at the lunch stop.

Riders Briefing will be at 8am Saturday morning all riders must attend.

Stop in at the fuel stop and refuel yourself and your bike thanks to the Gwydir Mobile Pre school. Lunch/fuel stop is located at the cattle yards and all tracks go to or from there.

The pre school has also organised an amazing Father’s Day raffle tickets are available now and it will be drawn on sunday morning head to the link below to get tickets. The moeny raised goes straight to the preschoolers to help them have fun and learn.

The North Star Public School P and C will be providing the catering at the club for breakfast, kids track lunches, and also dinner on Saturday night.

Please try and support these guys, without their generous volunteers we wouldn’t be able to run the ride.

Two days left to get tickets and trail passes!

Sales close 22.00 Monday night

The track is really coming together. There is going to be the odd wet patch to keep everyone honest but the riding is going to awesome.

Last few tickets still available. It is limited to 250 and with 120km of tracks to ride on there will be plenty of space for everyone.

40 km loop, ridden this afternoon by two brave track markers in the freezing winds. It is a very fun loop with a bit of everything!! We had a blast!!

Please remember to purchase your trail pass as well as a ticket. You will need to show us the trail pass or MA licence at sign up!

Saturday, the big ride day, breakfast will be available from the clubhouse from 6.30.

Riders briefing at 8. Fuel drums to be on trailer before riders briefing, the track is long and we are anticipating people to stay on track all day, we recommend putting fuel on the trailer.

Track opens at 8.30. Es**rt vehicles will es**rt riders through the first part of the track, this is something new, it’s not long, it’s for your own safety and to ensure riders can ride all day, its nicknamed Conroe straight for a reason.

Fuel/lunch stop, food and drinks will be available at the lunch stop.

Tracks will start to close from around 2pm.

Dinner will be available at the club from 6pm. Spit roasted local meat.

A big thank you to the groups that are helping us out with food. And please try and support them, thu are doing it to make the local kids time at school/preschool better.

We have had a few questions about Ridernet, its easiest if you setup a profile for kids and then buy tickets/apply for licences/trail passes with that, they can be linked into a family after they are setup.

Please ensure you get trail passes, no pass, no ride is the Motorcycling Australia policy.
