A massive congratulations to Sam King and his team from the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania on taking out the 2024 Harken Australia Fred Neill Match Racing Regatta!

Kingo and his team had the perfect regatta, finishing without dropping a race in the round-robin and beating Alex Blacker’s Adelaide Sailing Club team 2-0 in the grand final series.

This was also the first time the Fred Neill Trophy was won by a non-South Australian team – something we hope encourages more interstate and overseas teams to compete in years to come.

The Harken Australia Fred Neill Trophy is shaping up for an epic finish with more round-robin racing today ahead of a condensed finals series this afternoon.

Finals racing will be broadcast live via this page, as well as on the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia and Down Under Sail pages.

Sailors were treated to a light day of racing for Day 1 of the Fred Neill Match Racing Regatta at Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia.

10 teams hit the water today to start the round robin series and completed eight flights of racing.

After Day 1 of racing, Sam King from Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania and Carter Baker from CYCSA are sitting on top of the rankings heading in the remainder of the round robin series tomorrow morning before the Finals Series kicks off at 1500.

We have 10 teams, including two from interstate and one from overseas, battling it out for South Australia's top match racing prize.
