Wirrina Bluegrass & Acoustic Roots Festival
Friday Nov 27th - Sunday Nov 29th 2026
2 weekends after Mountaingrass / weekend after Pt Noarlunga Blues Festival.

Applications/expressions of interest from performers/presenters are STILL OPEN for now, for this year's festival, Nov 27th-29th at Wirrina Cove Holiday Park.

Please make contact by EMAIL ([email protected]) before the end of 1st week of June (this week!) if you'd like to be considered for inclusion in the program. There’s no application form - send us what we need to know. And, tell your friends, neighbors and random people in the street.

In November, this place looked like a Bluegrass & Acoustic Music festival - because it was! With their generous assistance, we overrun the place annually with banjos, mandolins & many other acoustic instruments, and make music till all hours.

But during February, the Fleurieu peninsula was dealing with a substantial bushfire, with the need for evacuations of many homes and farms in the South, as well as neighboring caravan parks / campgrounds and tourist accommodation. So the Park offered space free of charge to those who needed somewhere to go, including with their animals. They also ended up accommodating a temporary village of firefighters! Thanks guys, for your generosity and responding to need from the local area, and also for welcoming the firefighters who have visited from many places in Australia.

Please consider booking a holiday here if you're looking for powered or unpowered sites in the middle of plenty of nature space.
