This is the Highly Commended Mt Noorat sponge. It was brought to the festival by Maisies young crew. Note the eagles soaring over the volcanic crater. Thank you everyone that entered. See you next year.

What a successful event was the Noorat Sponge Festival. Thank you to all who attended and thank you to Roma Britnell MP and Cr Geraldine Conheady who presented the prizes. Bec Fairey of Mount View Aged Care who brought some recorded voices from the residents with lots of advice and hints on all things sponge. Thank you to the management of the magnificent Hall at the Niel Black Memorial Presbyterian Church for again making the hall available.
The winner was Jo Ludbrook, this is Jo wearing the winners prize the beautiful "Slice Of Heaven' hat by Georgina Conheady

Well here is a big announcement, there will be a prize for the best Mt Noorat Sponge. The prize comes via the generosity of the House of Conheady, Milliners To The Stars Georgina Conheady Don't forget the Noorat Sponge Festival kicks off at 2pm This Sunday May 24th at The Niel Black Memorial Presbyterian Church Hall Noorat. There is an award for each category.
