Newhaven Primary School

The Newhaven Primary School Fete has become a highly anticipated event on the school and community calendars. Held each year on the Saturday of the Melbourne Cup long weekend, the Fete attracts not only the school community but the wider Phillip Island and San Remo community and tourists alike! We are getting bigger and better every year.

Great rides, Lot’s of yummy food, coffee, heaps of stalls and games, a major raffle and silent auction, showbags, cakes and craft, lot’s of activities for the little kids like face painting and story time. There really is something for everyone! We especially love fete day as not only do we get to show off our great little school, but we can also showcase what the whole of Phillip Island are about. We have groups from all different area’s there on fete day to let people know what their organisation is about and how people can get involved and support the cause.

Our school are proud supporters of ‘Plastic Free Phillip Island’. Some of our students are ‘Strawbassadors’ who are behind the drive to get local businesses to ditch single use plastic straws. You can follow their progress on facebook and Instagram. We are doing our best to reduce the amount of single use plastic bags and packaging. We will also offer a discount to customers who provide a reusable cup for coffee.
