Welcome to the best dancefloor in Newy! Here's what you need to know...
First things first, if you feel unwell or have tested positive for COVID/influenza/RSV or any other highly contagious condition in the past 7 days, please do not attend. If this isn't you, we'd love to see you on the dance floor, all welcome, no bookings necessary! There are no capacity limits on attendees. As a guide, there
are generally around 20 to 30 attendees and we have a very large hall that allows for plenty of distancing with this number of people. Tickets will be sold at the door and we prefer cashless 'tap' payment. $8 for a single session or can purchase a 6 dance pass for $40 getting you a free dance! Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes to dance in. If you're anything like us, bring a sweat towel too - you'll dance up a sweat! It is a place for people to come and dance freely in a friendly, non-threatening, drug and alcohol free atmosphere. No Lights No Lycra is an event that occurs in a dimly lit room: with the lights off but dim ambient light, people can truly dance without worry and be lost in the moment. It is an inclusive event – open to all ages, genders, abilities, backgrounds and demographics. Talking is discouraged, get lost in the moment and there are no spectators allowed - only participants! Children under the age of 16 can attend with an accompanying adult. Please be aware that some music may contain adult themes or explicit language. Please approach one of the friendly Dance crew staff in the black tshirts with NLNL Logo if you at all feel uncomfortable, have a question or just want to say hi. When its dark we hang at the exit to help you in and out! Testimonials:
“I go to NLNL because I feel safe free and alive. I could have had the worst day and every time I leave with a smile on my face. I have finally found a place to let loose with my bad dance moves and no one judges me, I actually feel bad dancing is embraced”
“I adore every NLNL session! It’s such an escape from thought or reason, it’s just a place to do exactly what you feel and let loose!”
