A customer asked me to complete his CUSTOM LEGO GUITAR BUILD. This included assembly (of all his chosen quality components) detailed fretwork, wiring, setup and a large amount of routing that still needed to be done to acheive the correct setup and fit.
A FUN, challenging (re working with resin!) and BRIGHT thing to have on my bench ;-)

Fun project!
A customer was making a very personal LEGO IN RESIN inspired Fender Jaguar for a relatives birthday present. He had an idea of a pickguard that utilised some bright colours but wasn’t exactly sure of the material and colour to use.
I found a 3D model of the type of guitar and gave the customer some options to choose from in coloured acrylic. Once he had decided on the colours I was able to find the appropriate matching material and lasercut the custom pickguards for him from his supplied templates. The only problem was his UK suppliers cut file was incorrect! Doh! Glasgow Music & Guitar Repairs was also able to assist in solving this problem as well ;-)

This customer is also now getting me to complete the assembly and setup on two of his custom builds, stay tuned for some very intersting pic's on those.

A regular client really liked the aesthetic of the clear pickguard but didn't like the idea of seeing all the internal wiring etc, so I mocked up a few shapes in photoshop that I knew would cover the area utilising a profile from his old pickguard and let him decide :-)
I think we achieved a look that mixes the modern 5 string with a hint of the older style MusicMan. Both client and repairer happy in the end.

My three axes patiently waiting their turn at last years Aroma Festival at Maitland. Fun acoustic trio gig with
