This week brings four more reasons to book a table before July runs out.

Wednesday, Urban Restaurant & Wine Bar takes you through Seafood Throughout Europe, a four-course sit-down dinner working its way across the continent's seafood traditions, with wine pairings on offer at every step.

Thursday, Âpé fires up Tuna, Fire & Friends, bold tuna and seafood over charcoal from Nic Pedemonte, joined by special guest chef Tim Montgomery, paired with wines from Andrew Thomas Wines.

Friday, Customs House Hotel keeps it easy with a Four-Course Seafood Lunch, Mercer Wines matched to every course for a midday sit-down done right.

Then Sunday, head out on the water. The MV Calmer sets sail for a Lunch Cruise, three courses out on Newcastle Harbour, opening with canapés and sparkling before a live tuna cutting demonstration on deck.

This Thursday, Harrisons hosts a Basque Style Seafood Night, five courses moving through traditional and modern Basque cooking, built around the Southern Bluefin tuna and matched with Spanish varietal wines, some grown locally and some brought in from Spain.

Then on Monday, George Darby is serving up a 3 Course Mystery Meal, three courses of seafood for $45, and the only thing you can expect is the unexpected. Bookings anytime between 5pm and 8pm.

While the calendar's quieter on the feature events front, the Seafood Trail is still running full pace, forty venues, forty versions of Chef's Catch, waiting to be found across the city. Every dish is another stamp closer to the prize draw, so there's no shortage of reasons to keep exploring while you wait for next week's lineup of events.

🐟 Basque Style Seafood Night, Harrisons | Thursday 16 July, 6:30pm | $175pp

🐟 Mystery Monday, George Darby Hotel | Monday 20 July, 5pm | $45pp
