Big news, and it’s all thanks to you…

Tonight at our annual Celebration Function, hosted by our incredible partner The Langham, Melbourne, we were extremely proud to announce the Mother’s Day Classic community has raised an incredible $3.45 million for breast and ovarian cancer research in 2026!

Based on our participants’ selections, we're proud to be giving:
🩷 $2.138 million to the National Breast Cancer Foundation
🩵 $1.312 million to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF)

That brings our total since 1998 to over $54 million, powering over 90 research projects and counting.

29 years of walking, running, and showing up for each other, and we're only getting started. Thank you for being part of it.

💗 Proud to support a cause close to our hearts 💗

We were honoured to be an in‑kind sponsor of the first Mother's Day Classic - Launceston, TAS, held at Inveresk on Sunday.

The Mother’s Day Classic raises vital funds for breast and ovarian cancer research. Since 1998, an incredible $48.23 million has been donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and $2.57 million to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.

Thanks to ongoing research, the five‑year survival rate for breast cancer has improved from 84% to 92%. While this progress is encouraging, there’s still more work to be done - particularly for ovarian cancer, which currently has no early detection test.

Events like this make a real difference, and we’re proud to play our part. Thank you to Maxene and Morgan for proudly flying the BBA flag on the day!

What an incredible morning at the 2026 Mother’s Day Classic Launceston.

To every participant, volunteer, sponsor, supporter and smiling face who joined us — thank you. Whether you ran, walked, donated, cheered from the sidelines or helped behind the scenes, you made this event so special.

Together, our community came together to honour loved ones, support those impacted by breast and ovarian cancer, and help fund life-saving research through the Mother’s Day Classic Foundation.

We’re so proud to have brought the first Mother’s Day Classic event to Launceston and so grateful for the incredible support shown by our community.

Congratulations to our raffle prize winners, drawn at 10:30am today. A few lucky people happened to win more than once, that is simply the nature of raffle draws sometimes. Raffle ticket ID numbers are included in the screenshot for transparency and verification.

A huge thank you to our incredible sponsors for their generosity and support in donating prizes for the raffle. This event would not have been possible without the support of local businesses and community organisations getting behind the cause.

Thank you also to everyone who purchased raffle tickets. Together, we raised an amazing $4,190 through ticket sales alone. Your support genuinely means a lot and will help make a real difference.
