💙 WHEN THE HARD WORK BEHIND THE SCENES IS SEEN… 💙

What a wonderful way to bring the 2026 Port Stephens Winter Festival to a close.

The Port Stephens Events Committee was incredibly proud to receive this beautiful letter from Mayor Leah Anderson, acknowledging the passion, dedication and teamwork that brought this year’s festival to life.

Months of planning went into creating a festival that brought our community together, supported local businesses and filled Port Stephens with fun, food, colour and unforgettable experiences.

Thank you, Mayor Anderson, for taking the time to recognise the work of our committee. Your generous words mean more than you may realise.

In the words of Port Stephens Events Committee President Pete North:

“I couldn’t be prouder of what this committee has achieved.”

And he is absolutely right. 💙

To our sponsors, local businesses, event organisers, volunteers and every person who came along and embraced the festival—thank you. This remarkable community made the 2026 Port Stephens Winter Festival one to remember.

💚 What a way to finish the 2026 Taster's Trails! 💚

What a spectacular finale our Green Taster's Trail turned out to be!

Shoal Bay came alive with a sea of green as our guests embraced the theme, dressed to impress, shared plenty of laughs and enjoyed an unforgettable afternoon of great food and wonderful company.

From the first bite at the Game Fishing Club to the final sweet treat at Scoop & Roll, every venue went above and beyond. A huge thank you to the teams at Game Fishing Club, Gianni's Restaurant, Zenith Café and Scoop & Roll for showcasing the incredible hospitality and flavours that make Shoal Bay such a special place.

These photos, beautifully captured by Henk Tobbe, say it all... smiling faces, fantastic food and memories made with friends, old and new.

To everyone who joined us throughout this year's Taster's Trails... thank you for making them such an incredible success.

💚 The only question left is... will we see you back in 2027?

If you were there, we'd love to hear your favourite moment—and don't forget to tag your friends if you spot them in the photos!

❤️ "It's like speed dating... but with food!" ❤️😂

That was the verdict from one of our Yellow Taster Trail guests, Nina, on Saturday night... and honestly, we think she nailed it!

Instead of spending the whole evening in one restaurant, our guests "dated" four incredible local venues, enjoying an appetiser at Mod Thai Nelson Bay, an entrée at CASADE BAHI'A, a delicious main course at Sandpiper's Restaurant, before finishing the evening with dessert at Mavericks on the Bay.

Along the way they discovered new flavours, met new people, shared plenty of laughs and experienced the wonderful hospitality our region is famous for.

That's the magic of the Taster Trails.

They're not just about great food—they're about bringing people together, supporting our local restaurants and cafés, and creating memories that last long after the last course has been served.

Organised by the Port Stephens Events Committee as part of the Port Stephens Winter Festival, the Taster Trails have become one of the festival's signature events, and it's easy to see why.

💛 Thanks, Nina, for giving us what might just be the quote of the festival!

❤️ Have you experienced a Taster Trail? We'd love to hear about your favourite stop—or if you're joining us next year, which restaurant would you be most excited to visit?

❤️ Nelson Bay turned RED on Friday night... and what a sight it was! ❤️

From bright red jackets and jumpers to top hats, boots and plenty of creative flair, our RED Taster Trail guests embraced the theme with enthusiasm, laughter and a wonderful sense of fun. It wasn't just a night out... it was an experience, and what an experience it was!

As our guests made their way through Nelson Bay, they enjoyed exceptional food, great conversation, complimentary drinks at every stop and the warm hospitality that Port Stephens is so well known for. Many told us it was one of the best nights they'd had in a long time.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible venues who made the evening so memorable:

🥂 Casa De Bahl'a
🍽️ The Buoys at the Bay
🍴 Cafe KIN
🍰 Sirena Seaside

Each venue welcomed our guests with outstanding food, friendly service and genuine hospitality. Together, they created a dining experience that truly showcased the very best of Nelson Bay.

It was also wonderful to welcome Mayor Leah Anderson, East Ward Councillor Nathan Errington, and Laurence Antcliff, who joined us to experience the magic of the Taster Trails firsthand.

Most importantly, thank you to every single person who came along, dressed in red, embraced the fun and made the evening so special. Your energy, laughter and community spirit are exactly what make the Port Stephens Winter Festival such an incredible celebration.

🌅🐬 What made last night’s Moonshadow - TQC's Sunset Cruise so special?

Was it the dolphin who joined us along the way?
The wonderful food?
The great company?
Or was it the incredible voice of Lawson — a Moonshadow - TQC deckhand who also happens to be a seriously talented singer? 🎶✨

Perhaps it was the combination of it all.

As the sun slipped below the horizon, Lawson’s beautiful tones added something truly magical to an already unforgettable evening on the water.

A huge thank you to Moonshadow - TQC Cruises, Lawson, the crew and everyone who joined us for this very special Port Stephens Winter Festival experience, proudly presented by Port Stephens Events.

🫖💙 More Than Just a High Tea 💙🫖

Sometimes the smallest details tell the biggest story.

Yesterday's Port Stephens Winter Festival High Tea welcomed 61 guests for an afternoon of delicious food, wonderful company and spectacular views across Fingal Bay.

But what many guests may not have realised was that the beautiful crockery on their tables came from the Tomaree Hospital Auxiliary.

This remarkable group of local volunteers raises tens of thousands of dollars each year to purchase much-needed equipment and improve patient comfort at Tomaree Community Hospital.

Every cup of tea, every scone and every conversation shared around those tables was a small reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to support one another.

Guests thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, with many commenting on the exceptional service from the Saltwater Restaurant team, the delicious menu selection and the warm, welcoming atmosphere.

A huge thank you to the team at Saltwater Restaurant, the Tomaree Hospital Auxiliary and everyone who attended and supported this beautiful event.

Because when local businesses, local volunteers and local people come together, wonderful things happen. 💙

📸 Were you one of the 61 guests? We'd love to see your photos and hear your favourite part of the afternoon in the comments below.
