Now that the dust has settled from the weekend, we wanted to make a final post thanking everyone that was involved in running the festival.

Firstly, to the film makers, editors, and stars; thank you for your creativity and contributions. We love seeing the weird and wonderful films you come up with each year.

Secondly, to all the volunteers involved behind the scenes and on the night. We had so many people step up and pitch in, and we love and appreciate you all endlessly!

And thirdly, to our audience. For your entertaining reactions and help with the tidying and the seats at the end, thank you :)

For those that weren't able to make it, or those that want to relive some of the offerings, we're hoping to have the 2026 Goatfest album up on the ACT Natimuk Vimeo by the end of the month. We'll let you know once they're up.

See you next year, goat friends! 🐐

Goatfest 2026 Winner: Jury Choice
Master Chef s.18 ep.59 (Horsham Edition) directed by Madi Russel and Tanja Golding

Our judges were tickled by the creativity of this Master Chef inspired piece, where three dirtbags raided the bins to create gourmet dishes from the back of their vehicles.

Goatfest 2026 Winner: Audience Choice
Going Coastal directed by Henry Smith

The runaway favourite of the night, Going Coastal is a beautifully shot insight into a life lived more slowly.

Flinders island in the remote bass straight is as beautiful as it is fierce. The island’s windswept granite and deep blue water give it a rugged beauty that is hard to describe. The island’s solitude is what Simon and Hannah have been seeking, and after years of returning on climbing trips, they finally settled down permanently on Flinders. They spend their days climbing the spectacular sea cliffs, gardening, and birding.

As Goatfest creeps ever nearer, it's time to begin your snack planning for the night. This year's event does not include a food service, so please pre-load your bellies with an early dinner, or pack a snack bag of (non-crinkly) treats.

Drinks are available, served by our lovely bar staff at the back of the venue. Please no BYO.

We're furiously working behind the scenes to bring you Goatfest 2026 but.....we need your help!

VOLUNTEERS - Goatfest is a volunteer run community arts event and we need volunteers. Can't run it without . Can you help out? Setting up, packing down, serving at the bar. None of it is onerous and you can still enjoy Goatfest in its entirety.

FILMMAKERS - We'd love to have some more films as part of the competition. Be it professional or Amateur, you have the chance to win a $200 voucher from The Climbing Shop. 15 mins or less (even a minute is great!) Climbing or climbing related theme.

Please drop us a line at [email protected] if you can help by volunteering or submitting a film.

Oh and tickets are on sale here: https://events.humanitix.com/goatfest-2026

The Climbing Shop in downtown, big smoke Natimuk has been a long time supporter of Goatfest. Huge thanks for continuing to provide great prizes for filmmakers in the Short film competition part of Goatfest.

If you're ever in town, pop in and chat to Wayne. He has a wealth of knowledge and can point you in the right direction. He also has an online shop.

And what better incentive to submit a short film - 15 mins or less (even 1 minute :)

Goatfest is 25 days away!!

We need VOLUNTEERS! Goatfest is a volunteer run event. Can't do it without people on the ground.

We need barpersons with RSA's, front of house, chair movers at start and end of night and those handy with a brush and broom to spruce the hall back into shape when the audience has left.

Make some noise and wave your hands in the air. Drop us a line -
