Naracoorte World Heritage Festival & Run - 24 November 2019
In 2019 the Naracoorte Caves celebrates 50 years since the discovery of one of the world's 10 greatest fossil sites and 25 years since the Caves was inscribed on the World Heritage list. To celebrate these anniversaries the Naracoorte World Heritage Festival and Run is being held on Sunday 24 November 2019.
The Festival will mostly be held at the Naracoorte Caves and will feature cultural and social activities that leverage the World Heritage and scientific values of the Caves. The Run will take place in the morning on trails in and around the Naracoorte Caves. Participants will be able to indulge in regional food and wine after taking part in the run (or not), and enjoy the many social and cultural activities on offer.
The Festival and Run has received funding of $20,000 from the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund, helping to drive economic growth and create stronger regional communities into the future.
