Rikochetz Events is an active branch of Queensland Local Bands. At this stage, we operate for no profit with any monies made after costs going back into the venue and the local music scene. We want to provide a place for local talent to play and get a go, as well as a place for local youth to sample the talent on the Coast. We also welcome bands who want to visit the Sunshine Coast and want exposu
re outside of their home towns. But we do tend to showcase a lot more bands from the heavier end of the spectrum...metal, punk, hardcore...simply because of the interest shown by so many bands and the lack of venues to play at. It will be a regular event, every fortnight, Saturdays 5:00PM to 10:00PM at the Nambour QCWA Hall (10 Short Street) in the centre of town. It is an all ages venue that is strictly drug & alcohol free. We also provide professional event security who liase regularly with local police to keep it as safe as we can for the kids, bands and local community. Get behind it and we can really encourage all the local talent that we have here and allow these struggling bands to share their gift.
