🚨 IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO PARENTS: 12-YEAR-OLD CAUGHT RIDING ILLEGAL 60KM/H BIKE IN EARLWOOD
This electric bike was seized this week after it was found being ridden by a 12-year-old through the streets of Earlwood.
This is not a standard e-bike. It’s a high-powered bike capable of speeds up to 60km/h—without pedal assist. The bike has been seized and a Forfeiture Order is currently before the courts.
We’re not here to be the “fun police” — but following recent fatalities involving young riders in and around our area, we are doing everything possible to protect your children and others on the road.

➡️ Speak to your kids before buying any electric or gas-powered bikes online.
➡️ If it doesn’t require pedalling, it’s likely not legal for kids to ride on public roads or footpaths.
➡️ These bikes fall under the same rules as motorcycles and infringements of over $4000 can apply.
What might feel like harmless fun can quickly turn deadly.
