⚽️⚽️ MUDGEE MASTERS 2025 ⚽️⚽️

What an amazing day of games. Perfect weather, perfect fields and average football 😂.

We will now be split into the knockout stages of the tournament. The top two teams from each pool go into the Cup competition and the bottom two teams go into the plate competition. There will be quarterfinals, semifinals and finals in both of these competitions.

We are delighted to welcome "Khoms Masters" to this years event. It is a new name but a team that came a few years ago and brought such joy and laughter to the event. They feature in our promo videos and we are delighted to have them back. Here is their story.

Not just a game. A legacy.

Born as Zim Masters and this year proudly carrying the name Khoms Masters in honour of the gallant giant, the late Khomutso Nare, our team is more than just a collection of players. Khomutso’s spirit brought together communities from Orange, Canberra, Sydney, and Dubbo – building friendships that went beyond the pitch. This year, we take the field not just as an over-35s team, but as a family united by his legacy. For us, every match is bigger than the scoreboard, it’s about carrying his passion, his resilience, and his belief in bringing people together.

This year, we return one short. We are not just playing a game - we are playing for legacy, for brotherhood, and for Khomutso.

Looking forward to seeing you guys again this year CYMS - they have attended every year, including the year it was washed out.

This weekend our Old Boys travel to the Mudgee Masters Tournament for a fantastic event held by Mudgee Gulgong Wolves FC. This weekend is quite possibly… actually definitely the only reason most these boys play football. It’s a casual competition with plenty of laughs and good times! With lots of sore bodies back to work on Monday!

3 games Saturday with a 9am start I reckon the beer will be earnt by Saturday night 🍻
