Thanks to all our crew and vollies who helped make Blue Goat Backyard Marathon Trail Races 2025 happen.

With a few crew drop out in the week before, night before and even on the day it made it a busy time for those that showed up.

The crazy weather didn’t help the workload or the runners experience but we all got through it.

The course recce paid off for Christian Le Blance in the Blue Mountains Running Co. Marathon at the Blue Goat Backyard Marathon Trail Races 2025

The 50km and marathon races had the wind, rain, sun and humidity!

Christian won the race in 6:05. Nick Lane was 2nd in 6:28 and Jackson Merritt was 3rd in 6:35.

Jordan Mira was our first female in 7:16.

The T8 run gear sponsored race was a small field but we had a 100% finish rate!
Ash Parr in first led all the way with a finish time of 4:42. Mark Calvert who volunteered in the morning gefore the race improved his 30km PB here by an hour and finished in 4:42.

In the ladies Kate Virgona took the win in 5:20, with Cassandra Sinclair in 5:29. 3rd place was Karina Oakley in 5:57.

Special mention to Elizabeth Wells for her efforts for keeping going and finishing this tough race.

The First Choice Spinal & Sports Physiotherapy Half Marathon race was a close one.
Winner Isaac Graham, in his first ever half marathon, finished in 2:08:16 and was 5 seconds in front of Jack Smith who had a few stacks on course. It was funny watching Izacc do a few circles around the finish area to get the 21.1km!
3rd in the men was Kevin Scales who said it was a ‘tough’ race …. Or words to that effect!
Florence Van D**e won the ladies half marathon in 2:18. Jennifer Evans 2nd and Sam Morrison in 3rd.
