The Ballarat Ag & Pastoral Society (BAPS) are looking for young people aged 15-25yrs with an interest in Ag, Events & Fun to help organise the Farmers Challenge Competition at the Ballarat Show.

For more information and to register to attend the meeting this Wednesday, please email [email protected].

Involvement in this competition planning and coordination at the show offers real experience and an opportunity to build lifelong friendships. It's also a step towards joining our Youth Committee in 2027 if this is of interest!

What a fabulous time had by all on Tuesday night at the 2nd annual “Farmer's Night Off” hosted by the Ballarat Agricultural & Pastoral Society and Community Bank Creswick & District.

More than 200 farming families and rural suppliers came together to enjoy a FREE BBQ and hospitality, a live panel of Ag speakers made up of local farmers, rural businesses and suppliers and a host of kids activities and fun!!

Our Keynote Speaker: SAM LONGMORE shared her inspiring journey and life with us following an accident 12 years ago which resulted in her becoming a wheelchair user. Sam demonstrates everyday what it takes to be resilient and live life with purpose as she manages a successful Ag Spraying contract business, a number of mobile hospitality bars that service regional events in central NSW and regularly travelling across the country to speak at events just like ours.

Just over 12 years ago, Sam’s life changed following a car accident that resulted in her becoming a wheelchair user. Rather than limiting her, the experience strengthened her determination to challenge barriers, particularly within rural and agricultural Australia.
