We would like to take a moment to let you all know about our co-founder, teacher, mother, and dear friend, Adrienne.
Adrienne’s passion and drive for alpacas is what has made the farm, herd and business what it is today.
Alongside her work with the animals, Adrienne was an OAM and AFSM recipient for her work in the fire service and the greater community. She was a trailblazer for women within the emergency service industry, and specifically the Metropolitan Fire Service. She was the first female firefighter in South Australia and subsequently the first female Commander, and continued to knock down barriers through her near four decade long career.
Adrienne enjoyed challenging herself through hikes such as the Kokoda trail and the Tengkoma peak of Kanchenjunga.
Adrienne passed last Wednesday the 13th of August after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
We welcome anyone that would like to come and celebrate the very full life of our Adrienne.
The service will be held at
Adelaide Fire Station, 99 Wakefield Street, Adelaide SA.
Tuesday 26th August at 11am.
For those that cannot attend the service, we will be having drinks in Ade’s honour at the Strathmore Hotel from 1pm.
