Curious about taiko? Come and give it a go.

We're running a taster workshop on Sunday 20 September, 2:00–4:00pm and it's open to absolute beginners, no drumming background required.

Taiko is Japanese drumming: big drums, big sound, and a lot of joy. Our tasters are relaxed and friendly. We'll show you how to stand, how to hold the bachi (drumsticks), and teach you a simple rhythm the whole group plays together. Drums and sticks are provided.

It was such a special experience having the opportunity to learn, play and share the energy of taiko together with Japanese Taiko Master Makoto Sekine.
