Bull sharks are among the most likely sharks to attack humans and favor shallow coastal waters. I decided to launch this page for two reasons:
I discovered that there are a large amount of people I've spoken with on the Gold Coast who are unaware of the amount of Bull Sharks lurking within their backyard canal systems. I'm hoping this page will bring some awareness to Gold Coast residents and To
urists, who enjoy a dip in these rivers. Secondly, many fisherman have had success catching Bull Sharks in the Gold Coast waterways. So we'll be providing some tips on how to catch these river monsters below:
The Nerang River and Coomera River are favored spots to catch Bull Sharks amongst local fisherman, but remember, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. Although having a boat may be an advantage to catching Bullies, there are many places on land, which have worked very well for a lot of fisherman. Between the Isle of Capri and Casino (fishing from the bridge works well) The canal behind Pizzie Park Directly behind the Convention centre where the 3 canals meet Chevron Island bridge, great spot as there is a deep channel there.
