We were so stoked to run a full day of workshops this year for Trans Book Festival before the weekend of storytelling and panel events 😍 we didn't manage to get as many pics across the day as we would've liked, but here's a snapshot of the six workshops across writing and editing, fantasy and sci-fi worldbuilding, interactive literature, poetry, music-making, and literary speed-friending!

It's been a big few weeks of rest and recovery since TBF 2026, and we have so many incredible photos and stories to share from the weekend that was.

But in the meantime, are you keen to support more q***r artists? Check out bisexual playwright Walt Dyson's new show, 'All Bull' when it debuts at Stables, Meat Market this week!

Featuring an all-female, trans and non-binary cast, 'All Bull' is a surreal, tragicomedy that examines Australian toxic masculinity and drinking culture. Based in suburban Australia, All Bull follows Ben, a witless alcoholic whose four friends and coworkers transform, one by one, into 'Bulls' until only Ben remains.

Featuring cast members Eden Bren, Faun Xe, Emily Jenkins, Emily Farrell, Ashlynn Parigi and Louise Jameson as 'The Boys', All Bull asks how and why we collectively ignore the destructive and violent behaviours of monstrous men.

Let’s hear it for the dolls!
Our Trans Femmes to the Front panel was an authentic, heartfelt , thought provoking, and authentic discussion of what it means to be a trans femme writer.

This panel was presented by Rhubarb Rhubarb Organic Grocery, who not only serve their community by providing fresh, organic produce 7 days a week at Preston market, but also by generously supporting local artists and creatives.

TBF 2026 day 2 wrapped with our gorgeous evening storytelling event.

Hosted by Lantana Literary journal, our artists, Tré Turner, Kai Ash, Gabrielle Fallen, Xiaole Zhan, and Jack Nicholls, shared the story that “made them trans.”

Feeling the fomo? There are still a whole day of wonderful panels and a musical performance to go. Grab tickets at the door or at the link in our bio.
