Melbourne Break Dance (Victoria, Australia) is about building a "breaking" dance community. From its origins in New York's hip hop culture in the 1970's, break dance is a phenomenon that has taken the world by storm, popularised by shows such as "So You Think

You Can Dance" and movies like "Step Up". Melbourne Break Dance believe in harnessing the physical disciplines of dance and the cultural influences of hip hop music to build the health and confidence of Melbourne's youth. Melbourne Break Dance offer dance classes, expert hip hop teachers, workshops, corporate and party entertainment, and professional dance events, including the National Championship The MBD Cup 1vs1 competition for under 18's.

Melbourne Break Dance will be back in 2021!

We are aiming to open in term 1 2021 following the covid safe protocols that will be in place by the time we start back.

As tough as this year has been I am incredibly grateful of the amazing community we have. We never stopped getting photos and videos of everyone practising and I can’t wait to see you all again.

Thank you again to those who have purchased class passes before we closed up for lockdown your patience has been amazing.

To top it off breaking will be in the Paris Olympics in 2024! Looks like it’s time to aim high and go for gold!
